The Children Send Their Thank You

The children send their love, a wave, and their gratitude for all that God has done in their lives through people like yourself that have given and made it possible for them to have a home, a family, food, clothing, medical care, and attend school. God has been SO good to them.
If you feel led to bless them this Christmas season with a love gift you can use the GoFundMe tag on the right. God richly bless you, and may God continue to bless these children and those that care for them.

Need Prayers for Child in Hospital

Please pray for Damackline, one of the children at the Orphanage that is in the hospital being treated for malaria and Typhoid. The nurses are still on strike in Kenya so she must receive treatment through a private hospital rather than a public one, so the expenses are much higher. Please pray for her speedy healing as well as provision. Thank you.

School Bags Needed By Friday

The children at the orphanage (23 of them) are in need of school bags to carry all their books to and from school. The school management has made it compulsory for all the children to have school bags. They have been given until this Friday morning to purchase bags for uniformity, and will not be allowed in school if they do not have school bags. The total cost of all these bags is $360 and each bag is $15. Consider sowing a seed of $15 and gift a child for this need. You will certainly receive a blessing from it.

Father, we thank You for providing the needs of these children. They need 23 school bags, and we thank You for giving them 23 school bags. You're a good, good Father. Perfect in all of Your ways.

Update:
We PRAISE God for His provision and faithfulness to provide for these school bags.

Immediate and Urgent Need

One of the orphans, Agnes Nyabuto, has been in the hospital for a week now diagnosed with Malaria and Typhoid. There is a nurse's strike taking place there in Kenya that has made the required hospital bill hike to higher than the director has been able to gather funds to cover. She is now ready to be released from the hospital after treatment but there is a remaining cost of $280 that is needed to add to the amount that the director has gathered to cover the full cost. He is praying and trusting the Lord for these remaining funds to come in by tomorrow morning (Sunday) to prevent the bill from escalating further. Please consider your support in this need.

These hospital bills for the children at the orphanage is an important area that this ministry needs consistent monthly supporters for. We are in great need of other compassionate hearts that will come alongside us to help support these children and all the needs that come up monthly to care for them. This is the Lord's work and He uses His Body to reach and support. Please pray about what He would have to you do to help these children. Thank you and God richly bless you.

Current Needs of The Orphanage

These are the current and most recent needs of the children and orphanage:

This is Winfrida, one of the orphans. There is a ban of polythene bags in Kenya and the children are struggling to carry books from and to school. All the children need school bags to carry books. It costs about $400 to purchase bags for all our children.

This is Glivin. His parents died of HIV/AIDS. He is also HIV/AIDS. We are requesting for sponsorship for this young man.

The Opening of a New Avenue of Income
by Raising Chickens

The Lord is opening up a new avenue of income in the future as the orphanage director has a friend who lives in Dubai and wants to bless the orphanage with 30 chickens to get started. This will help in providing the children with eggs to eat and be able to sell some eggs for income generation. However his friend wants the orphanage to build a poultry house before he purchases the chickens. The total cost of the poultry house is $412 and each chicken costs $6. We are trusting God for these funds to move forward with this vision and need.

There were 12 souls saved and baptized in Jesus name. GLORY!!

Update from Orphanage Director

Dear beloved supporters,
Our heartfelt greetings and blessings to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus our savior.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for the work of the Lord in Kisii Kenya. We appreciate and pray for you too.

The Lord has been so faithful in provisions to meet various needs of the children in the orphanage. The Lord is taking the orphanage to greater heights and we look forward to be self-supporting from next year.
The Lord faithfully provided for the school fees after much prayers for the provisions with the school fees, the local government here gave me a small temporary contract and the payment I got out of the work was used to pay the school fees, buy the children some new uniform, medical bills and other needs in the orphanage.

I and some few members from the church have been promised some job as the year starts. Please pray that the Lord perfects everything in Jesus name. It is our strong believe that through these jobs, we can be able to meet some of the basic necessities of the children.
A friend of mine that lives in Dubai, promised to donate 30 chickens to the orphanage but he wants us to build the chicken coup before donating the chicken. After some inquiries about the cost of building a good sizable coup, we found that it costs about $600 and it is our prayer that the Lord will use you to help in meeting the cost of the coup.
Our prayer is that we can have 500 chicken and four dairy cattle to support the orphanage. If the Lord leads you to be part of this endeavor you are welcome as we build the kingdom of God together.

Blessings and love,
Director

PRAYER REQUEST

PRAYER REQUEST:

The pastor sent this prayer request:
"The operation of the orphanage has been affected by the issue of the drought. No vegetables and have dried up due to the drought. The little there is double in expensive. Water becomes a very scarse resource. We urgently need $200 to have the operation move smoothly. The river that we have been fetching water for use has dried. Needs to hire a vehicle to get water from far distance. Prayers please. Hope you have heard about the drought in Kenya over the media. Blessings and love."

December 2016 Report by the Orphanage Director

BRIDGE OF LOVE KISII ORPHANAGE- KENYA
December 2016 Report.

“Don't you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!” –1 Corinthians 9:24

How many of us have had unfinished tasks lying around—like a book half-read, a project half-done, a meal half-eaten, or a letter half-written? It's always easy to start something, but the challenge is in completing it.
To finish anything worthwhile takes sacrifices. Every marathoner can testify to that. Anyone can start a race, but only a champion runs to the finish line. In any endeavor, finishing strong requires something from us including time, perseverance, patience, endurance, and discipline.
In 1 Corinthians 9:24, Paul states that while all runners run, only one gets the prize. Many will start a journey towards the plan of God, but not everyone will finish the race. Few will obtain the prize of victory. However, if you’re reading this, you’re not like everyone! You’re not a victim to the status quo. God has uniquely designed you to excel beyond the norm.
The Christian life is a picture of a marathon, not a sprint. We are called to run with patience and endurance. Unfortunately, many today have already stopped running. They have stopped serving God and being faithful to their callings. Some have even stopped pursuing their dreams and passions. But if we are going to be ones who finish our race in Christ, we must keep running until we reach the finish line.
God didn’t save and call us to simply start the race; He called us to finish! At times, our race may be filled with pain and challenges, but God's grace enables us to run through every obstacle. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize and finish strong in victory!

Orphanage updates:
The orphanage work is going on well and we thank God for your love, prayers and support. Your contributions  through financial donations has given our  orphaned and highly vulnerable children a chance of  life based on care and love, full bellies, healthy bodies, and minds crammed full with new ideas, knowledge and excitement.
Christmas is a special time that should be filled with joy, traditions, family, & celebrating the birth of Jesus! But for orphaned children, Christmas could easily be a reminder of abuse, abandonment and a depressing time where they feel forgotten. We thank you so much for showing them that they are not forgotten and they are loved by sending finances to help purchase clothes, new shoes and taking them to our nearest restaurant to enjoy with other children.
The story of Jesus' birth was shared and the true meaning of Christmas celebrated. Jesus came to save, to heal the hurting, to feed the hungry and to bring JOY to the world!
Schools open on 3rd January and the school management said last time that the children will only be allowed in school after clearing the school fees. We request our supporters to consider in helping with the $800 needed for school fees payment.
Your sacrifice to help take these children to school, feed them, clothe them and give them good health is precious before the eyes of the Lord.
We are urgently trusting God for better battery to use in provision of light for the orphanage. At the moment we have no lights in the orphanage which is insecure for the children. They can’t do their homework without lights and pumping water from the well. The battery we had was smaller than the solar panel which led to the burning of the battery cells. And this has indeed led to most orphanage operation paralyzed.

Blessings and Love
