The New Dormitory

This is the beginning,.....the seed of faith sown by the pastor and his wife
into the new dormitory that God spoke to him to begin for the next
phase of this orphanage.

God is moving on this and bringing other seed and support to build upon this heart that He has given him. These children are God's heart. He sees that there are many more that need help, that need love, that need you and I to be His "Bridge of Love" that brings them in and showers them with His love for a bright future, that pave a way for them to know who they are in Christ and in the Kingdom, and to provide the resources and means to give them the stepping stones into that future. It is a great work of God's heart and it takes support and involvement of His people.

These are 1200 bricks of the 2000 needed for the beginning of the foundation that were able to be purchased with another seed sown. As we sow and pray we see things grow. We sow and water, but it's God that causes the increase. THIS is good ground to sow your seed.
Here are the list of supplies needed for the new foundation that the Lord spoke to the Pastor to begin. He believes as the foundation is laid that God will bring others to supply and complete the dormitory. Join with us in faith to be a part of what God is doing in these orphans lives.
The total amount needed for the foundation is $700.
1. 2000 bricks plus transportation=$300
2. 25 bags of cement=$200
3. Labor =$200
(the bricks are for elevation on the foundation)

Watch this blog as we post the progression of God's work here.
Bless you!

UPDATE: God Provided! and on February 9th the new construction of the dormitory began! God's work is moving forward as we move with Him, and it has created excitement in the children for this new construction as it will allow other orphaned children to come into God's arms of LOVE. Thank you for your support!

As you can see the land which the dormitory is being built on is sloped so the foundation is elevated and built higher on the down slope to level it with the upper side of the slope. Inside the foundation walls is filled with dirt and concrete. We are waiting upon the Lord for $200 more to complete the additional supplies needed.

After the foundation is complete the next phase will be the construction of the walls.
Supplies and fees needed are:
1. One lorry of sand = $376
2. 4000 bricks = $500
3. 2 lorries of ballast - $352
4. 40 bags of cement - $376
5. Labor - $400
TOTAL: $2004
From here we will focus on putting on the roof.

UPDATE: 4-3-15 God provided! The one lorry of sand was purchased earlier in the month, and the remaining bricks were purchased with the $516 of funds raised through a garage sale at our house for the new dormitory. It was a great corporate time of support and fellowship with many of our church family in raising this money at the garage sell. And now we are trusting God to multiply these monies and supply all the needed funds for this work. The Pastor has been moved to sacrifice this month's paycheck to help meet half the cost of one lorry of ballast. May God bless and multiply these seeds and continue to provide for this kingdom work. He uses you and I to do this. Please consider making a donation towards this effort. Blessings!
Remaining needs for this phase of the construction is:
1. 1.5 lorries of ballast -  $264
2. 40 bags of cement - $376
3. Labor - $400
TOTAL: $1040

UPDATE: June 5th
God has continued to bless miraculously so we can move forward on this building project of the new dormitory. We have found favor with the builder and supplier to pay the remaining $756 in labor and supplies out at $140/week as he moves on with the construction. The rains there in Kisii have threatened to weaken the established foundation, so it has been important for us to move forward as soon as possible to get the walls up. It's an honor and a privilege to be a part of and to sow into this kingdom work. The poor, the orphan, and the fatherless are on God's heart, and Jesus said, "Whatsoever you do to the least of My brothers you do to Me." When we help these children have a home, protection, covering, food, and education we are doing this to Jesus. We are His hands, His arms, His feet, His mouthpiece. We are His bridge of love to these children.
Please consider being apart, and sowing into this kingdom work to help more children feel His love and have a home.
June 8th - Walls going up!
Construction of the walls on the new dormitory
June 12th - More sand!
Load of sand being unloaded for further construction of new dormitory

August 29th - the completion of the walls of the new dormitory.
The children are happy and proud of this new dormitory that will
house them along with an additional 34 orphans.

Victory! Fees, Tables & Chairs!

                                                          God is SO GOOD!
He is a FAITHFUL FATHER and PROVIDER!

We rejoice in His provisions for these children and orphanage. Through prayer and the generosity of His Body, God provided the remainder of the school fees needed for this 3 month term AND enough to purchase the tables and chairs that the children had been desiring and praying for. They are thrilled and SO happy to be able to sit and eat now and to use these tables and chairs for their studies as well. This is such a tremendous encouragement and expression of love to them. It may be small things to many of us, but it is grand and large to them. We bless God for this blessing!

The Lord continues to bring children to the orphanage that need help and that have lost parents and hope. Just the other day an elder of the church found a young boy named Samuel crying by the river ready to commit suicide as he had lost his parents, his uncle that he was living with had lost his job and couldn't even provide for his own family so he was unable to go to school anymore, and life was overwhelming for him. This elder brought him to the orphanage and the Lord blessed him with food, some clothes, a place to live and the provision to re-enter school. His life was turned around by God's love that day.

NEWEST NEED:
God has now spoken to the Pastor to begin by faith the construction of another dormitory for other children to come. He believes as they lay the foundation for the dormitory that God will bless it and bring more help. Pst Isaac is giving the plot of land along with one lorry of sand and ballast toward this effort, and as we sow our seed into this as well we are all believing God for the full amount needed to begin this foundation very soon. The total amount needed for the foundation is $700.
1. 2000 bricks plus transportation=$300
2. 25 bags of cement=$200
3. Labour =$200
(the bricks are for elevation on the foundation)

We ask you to pray about sowing into this Kingdom work as God is working with us and moving mightily on these children's behalf.

Samuel - God's Bridge of Transition

"And the boy Samuel grew in stature, and in favor
both with the Lord and with men."
                                                                   1 Samuel 2:26

This is Samuel......He is a young humble 15 yr old boy that was brought to this Kisii orphanage yesterday by an elder of the church who found him by the river crying and wanting to commit suicide as he had lost both his parents to illness and had been living with his uncle who had been providing for his needs and caring for him. Samuel's uncle had ultimately lost his job and was unable to afford food for even his children and immediate family. Samuel in despair had not been attending school as he did't have the funds and resources for the fees, books and uniforms, and he was in deep depression and hopelessness when the elder found him crying and brought him to the orphanage. The love of Samuel's heavenly Father saw His young son and sent a man, a bridge of His love, a man filled with the love and Spirit of Jesus, to reach out to him and save him from the clutches of the enemy of depresssion, hopelessness and despair. Bringing Samuel to the orphanage the Pastor and his wife and the love in this orphanage is restoring him to new life and hope again. Samuel has been fed, received new clothes, has been given a home to sleep and live in, and a family to love him, and now he will be able to return to school again and look at his bright future through the eyes and heart of His heavenly Father. Samuel's story is similar to many of these orphan children.
Their lives are being turned around by God's LOVE.

Samuel enjoying studies in his new
home and with his new family.

      The Pastor & Samuel

This Kisii orphanage is a kingdom orphanage, filled with redeeming love and hope and purpose that brings these children that have lost their parents, their love and security, and any hope for provision or care back into a bright future. This orphanage IS a bridge of LOVE into these children's lives to restore and redeem them back into the loving care and security of their Father's arms.

In the Bible there were direct similarities between the young boy, Samuel, and Jesus. Both were children of promise. Both were dedicated to God before birth. Both were bridges of transition from one stage in the nation's history to another. I believe this young boy Samuel that was brought to this orphanage yesterday represents this "bridge of transition" between his family, his nation, but also a generation of young orphaned children that are lost and hopeless and are being bridged back into their Kingdom future and purpose with their heavenly Father. This is a Kingdom hour, and we need to see through Kingdom eyes into the lives that God brings into our paths. God's Kingdom is coming into this earth through us, His Body. Let's BE His hands, His feet, His arms, AND His Bridge of Love.
