PRAYER REQUEST

PRAYER REQUEST:

The pastor sent this prayer request:
"The operation of the orphanage has been affected by the issue of the drought. No vegetables and have dried up due to the drought. The little there is double in expensive. Water becomes a very scarse resource. We urgently need $200 to have the operation move smoothly. The river that we have been fetching water for use has dried. Needs to hire a vehicle to get water from far distance. Prayers please. Hope you have heard about the drought in Kenya over the media. Blessings and love."

Immediate Needs - A Prayerful Reminder

A prayerful reminder of the immediate needs of the Orphanage for the school fees of $800 as well as a larger battery of $340 for their solar system. The Orphanage has been without electricity and lights for several weeks now, and the children have missed the first week of school until the full fees are met. Please seek the Lord for your support with these urgent needs. We are blessed to be a blessing. Every seed sown will be multiplied by the Lord to provide the supernatural supply. God bless you!!
We PRAISE Him for His GOODNESS and great GRACE!!

December 2016 Report by the Orphanage Director

BRIDGE OF LOVE KISII ORPHANAGE- KENYA
December 2016 Report.

“Don't you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!” –1 Corinthians 9:24

How many of us have had unfinished tasks lying around—like a book half-read, a project half-done, a meal half-eaten, or a letter half-written? It's always easy to start something, but the challenge is in completing it.
To finish anything worthwhile takes sacrifices. Every marathoner can testify to that. Anyone can start a race, but only a champion runs to the finish line. In any endeavor, finishing strong requires something from us including time, perseverance, patience, endurance, and discipline.
In 1 Corinthians 9:24, Paul states that while all runners run, only one gets the prize. Many will start a journey towards the plan of God, but not everyone will finish the race. Few will obtain the prize of victory. However, if you’re reading this, you’re not like everyone! You’re not a victim to the status quo. God has uniquely designed you to excel beyond the norm.
The Christian life is a picture of a marathon, not a sprint. We are called to run with patience and endurance. Unfortunately, many today have already stopped running. They have stopped serving God and being faithful to their callings. Some have even stopped pursuing their dreams and passions. But if we are going to be ones who finish our race in Christ, we must keep running until we reach the finish line.
God didn’t save and call us to simply start the race; He called us to finish! At times, our race may be filled with pain and challenges, but God's grace enables us to run through every obstacle. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize and finish strong in victory!

Orphanage updates:
The orphanage work is going on well and we thank God for your love, prayers and support. Your contributions  through financial donations has given our  orphaned and highly vulnerable children a chance of  life based on care and love, full bellies, healthy bodies, and minds crammed full with new ideas, knowledge and excitement.
Christmas is a special time that should be filled with joy, traditions, family, & celebrating the birth of Jesus! But for orphaned children, Christmas could easily be a reminder of abuse, abandonment and a depressing time where they feel forgotten. We thank you so much for showing them that they are not forgotten and they are loved by sending finances to help purchase clothes, new shoes and taking them to our nearest restaurant to enjoy with other children.
The story of Jesus' birth was shared and the true meaning of Christmas celebrated. Jesus came to save, to heal the hurting, to feed the hungry and to bring JOY to the world!
Schools open on 3rd January and the school management said last time that the children will only be allowed in school after clearing the school fees. We request our supporters to consider in helping with the $800 needed for school fees payment.
Your sacrifice to help take these children to school, feed them, clothe them and give them good health is precious before the eyes of the Lord.
We are urgently trusting God for better battery to use in provision of light for the orphanage. At the moment we have no lights in the orphanage which is insecure for the children. They can’t do their homework without lights and pumping water from the well. The battery we had was smaller than the solar panel which led to the burning of the battery cells. And this has indeed led to most orphanage operation paralyzed.

Blessings and Love
